you see how wet it has been. rain causing major problems this morning many thanks for joining us, i'm eric thomas. >>> and i'm kristen sze. we have team coverage on the storm. katie marzullo is in mill valley. kira klapper is in los gatos. >>> we begin with meteorologist mike nicco, welcome back. >>> healthy clip, moderate to heavy rain around sometimes even yellows and oranges causing a lot of ponding on the roads. i was slipping and sliding almost like driving on ice at times, there was so much water on the roads so much hydroplaneing. rainfall amounts of a quarter to 3/10 of an inch per hour covers the entire bay area. -- you can see yellows through the north bay, through the heart of the bay into the east bay valleys. that heaviest of the rain has calmed didn't a little but set the stage for the problems this morning with all that wet weather. more developing along the cold front starting to push into the north bay. because it is pushing into the north bay that means fastest winds and heaviest rain from now through the morning rush hour. it will start to taper as we head into th

. >> reporter: very much so. milpitas police aren't telling us anything. i can show you what is happening, this is jacqueline road, crime scene investigators confering on the island of jacqueline road. as i heard sue mention, the jacqueline road is closed several blocks in each direction milpitas way and arizona. police won't tell us what they are investigating, there are report there is was a shooting. the chp has confirmed for us that milpitas police did issue a be on the lookout for a suspect who exchanged gunfire with police. meaning, he shot at police and officers shot at him. this is from the chp. police do not know whether or not they hit this suspect. best we can tell at this time, there is an armed suspect on the loose in milpitas. police are looking for this man. we have calls into milpitas police and we will bring you an update as soon as we have more information. katie marzullo, abc7 news. >>> we'll continue to follow that. meantime, sea of blue expected at a redwood city high school following the death of a student. a facebook movement is underway asking students to wear blue

in these negotiations, the united states. the foreign minister was flanked by u.s. secretary of state hillary clinton. and the feeling is that having her presence in the region has made a difference in expediting the negotiation talks. now, as for the cease-fire, it's safe to say that the region remains on -- quite tense at the moment. just waiting to see if the agreement will hold. now, both israel and hamas have agreed to some of those terms. and the main term is to stop the fighting. we're about -- over 13 hours, now, into the cease-fire agreement. and it seems to be holding. but having said that, the israeli defense forces, the idf, did report at least five rockets were fired by hamas, from gaza, toward israeli cities. but israel did not respond. now, israel and hamas are spinning this differently. you have israel on the one hand saying that they were able to make a difference and cripple hamas' military capabilities by the amount of rockets that they fired and by the targets they hit. but then, you have hamas on the other hand, saying they succeeded in showing their military might by showing isr
